A summer like back in the days.

Can you combine nature-loving thirst for action and deep relaxation?
Yes, you can, and this has been done beautifully in the municipality of Mallnitz, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Since 1762 – the year when the Ankogel was first climbed – the region has been one of the most beautiful natural hiking regions across all the Alps. Numerous huts and excursion destinations are waiting to be explored. If you are looking for alpine adventure, it is best to go on a high alpine mountain tour up to 3,000 meters. But also, cyclists, mountain bikers, paragliders, fishermen, rafters, canyoning enthusiasts and wakeboarders get their money's worth here in summer.

Winter sport & chalet fun

Away from hustle and bustle and partying. In winter, when the days get shorter and the landscape is shrouded in snow and ice, the time of skiers and snowboarders begins. The small but perfect ski areas of Ankogel and Mölltaler Glacier – with their numerous kilometres of slopes – can be reached directly from Mallnitz by free ski bus and by train the ski area of Gastein (Stubnerkogel) can be reached within 11 minutes.  Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will really enthuse about the 25 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes (classic and skating), from Mallnitz via the Tauern Valley to the Seebachtal. Probably also because the cross-country ski trail entrance is right on our doorstep!
